Respite Care in Lakewood

As you may well know, seniors tend to face more health complications than young people due to their age. These complications can lead to situations where seniors may require treatment at medical institutions. These treatments can be in the form of surgery or any other procedure. A senior recovering from this type of procedure will likely need a high level of care and attention while they recover from it.

The obstacle here is that you, the family caregiver, may not be able to do so all the time due to so many responsibilities. Additionally, recovering at a hospital can be pretty costly. This is where Loving Home Care Inc. can serve your loved ones by providing the best respite care in Lakewood. Our caregivers can provide them with the best quality of short-term and temporary caregiving necessary for their recovery.

How Loving Home Care Can Help You With Respite Care in Lakewood:

At Loving Homecare Inc., we carry on the vision of our founder by combining a loving, caring environment with professional care services. We understand that having a caring partner in aging can bring one person and their whole network of loved ones a powerfully supporting experience. In the same way, we uphold this vision with our respite care services in Lakewood by helping your loved ones with every stage of their recovery. We make sure to take care of all your needs, including any assistance you may need.

We provide many types of respite care as part of our respite care Lakewood services. They are the following:

    • Lifestyle Care Services:

Our lifestyle care services are designed to be of high quality as part of our respite care services in Lakewood. This is because we realize how staggering the readmission statistics for seniors are. Therefore, we work carefully with your doctors and medical professionals to successfully develop a plan that leads to your loved one’s recovery. We take any instructions we are given by them very seriously. We can help support recovery from a number of conditions, including strokes, fractures, heart attack, joint replacement, and diabetes.

    • Medical Management:

To recover from their conditions, seniors may be assigned regular medication as part of their recovery. It can be challenging for seniors to remember to take their medicine. This is where we can help by helping them maintain their medication schedule while reminding them to take it on time. Alternatively, we can administer it ourselves lovingly with the correct dosages if they are physically unable to. Additionally, we even monitor side effects and communicate to you if any complication occurs.

    • Bathing and dressing:

Recovering senior patients may have a lot of difficulties with cleaning themselves. It is highly likely they may need support going to the bathroom. In some cases, they may be completely bedridden during their recovery. Our respite caregivers can help by guiding them towards the bathroom and providing standing support. Alternatively, they can help them by giving them a sponge bath in bed. If they feel panicked during undressing, we help reassure them while covering them with a sheet. After that, they can help them with dressing ensuring they are clean and tidy and that no skin conditions occur.

    • Diet Management:

It can be challenging for recovering patients to prepare meals and eat on time due to their conditions. This is where we can assist them through our respite care. Our caregivers are trained to cook food according to any specific diets and preferences for all the day’s meals. This ensures that your loved ones’ nutritional needs are fulfilled with their favorite meals. We provide varied meals so that eating does not become a tedious and repetitive task. Our meals are healthy, ensuring that it improves their recovery during in-home respite.

    • Toileting and incontinence care:

For recovering patients, it can be challenging to navigate to the bathroom when they need to go. Certain conditions or medication side effects may cause these seniors to develop incontinence issues, which can be even more challenging for you to manage. Our caregivers are trained to help seniors with toileting and incontinence problems throughout the day. This includes taking care of any messes that may involuntarily happen.

    • Complete Recovery Support:

Our caregivers can aid your loved ones through our full support service. We develop a plan tailored around you to make your schedule as least affected as possible. Whether you want our services for a few hours, full-time, or around the clock, we are ready to offer them to you.

    • Condition Monitoring:

We conduct frequent checkups for all our patients to ensure they are healthy. This may include overnight observation if your loved ones are in an exceedingly critical situation and there is a risk of recurrence or physical damage. Additionally, we provide regular health updates to family members to ensure that they do not have to worry. Therefore, you can rest assured that your loved ones will be safe within their homes with our caregivers.

    • Transportation

A recovering patient will likely be unable to drive themselves around for the various errands they may need to run. Additionally, they may need to drive to the hospital for any appointments regarding their progress. You may be able to do these sometimes, but you may likely have your own commitments. Therefore, we can help your loved ones by providing them with transportation to their follow up appointments and then back home.

    • House help Services:

Recovering patients will likely not be able to clean the house, especially seniors, without causing harm to themselves in some way. Our caregivers can help by providing them with a clean environment. A clean environment is also safe as they can move around more safely and stay more hygienic. All these factors ensure that the patient’s recovery is swift and secure.

    • Exercise and Fitness:

Getting some form of exercise is crucial for any recovering patient, especially when recovering from a physical injury. Alternatively, exercise also helps seniors stay healthy, which is vital at their tender age. Loving Home Care Inc. has a dedicated team of caregivers who can support them with exercise, stretching, and fitness therapy sessions.

    • Companionship Services:

Recovering patients may typically find themselves isolated during recovery. This is because their loved ones may not always be able to give them some time. As such, this can cause them to become depressed or lonely. Such a case is not ideal, and it has been known that morale can affect recovery. Our caregivers can help provide companionship to recovering seniors. This allows them to get inner strength, encouraging them to obtain respite.

I would like to thank my family (Loving Homecare) for their support and motivation. Despite my vast experience as a Healthcare Practitioner in big and well-reputed institutions, my experience at Loving Homecare has taught me many things that I missed in my professional experiences over the years. I learned how to be part of a family, I know what's like to be a part of a family and how important it is to love and be loved at work without jeopardizing all or any of the professional boundaries. It is such a great feeling when your client counts the hours and minutes waiting to see you again. This noble relationship with your clients will not grow that far without having the right atmosphere. YES, I strongly mean it: "LOVING HOMECARE" is that atmosphere I am talking about. I have always received the support when needed even without having to ask. The administration work with you and protect you exactly like any family protects its family members. I feel proud to be part of this family and I am sure all other colleagues would share this feeling with me. Once again, thank you all for your love, care, trust and appreciation. I will always pray for your organization to grow bigger and bigger. This means many clients are getting the best care ever and staff are enjoying the best working atmosphere in the field of home healthcare.

When I had major surgery at 94, my family was concerned regarding who to get to take care of me 24/7 for several weeks. A nurse friend suggested Loving Homecare.. Tanner and Orianne were so kind, attentive and loving. I will never forget them and they will remain in my heart and prayers. I feel that having Loving Homecare enriched my life as well as having such fabulous care. I know God directed my family in their choice and I would highly recommend Loving Homecare, unreservedly, to anyone who wants the very best of care.

Loving Homecare, based out Whittier, California, was recommended to us by the hospice company that was overseeing our friend and neighbor. In the two week that Loving Homecare provided their service, we were faced with a new challenge because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Tanner and his team made the adjustments necessary to continue to provide personal care for our loved one. Would highly recommend Loving Homecare if you're looking for personal care and competitive prices for your loved one. Thank you, Tanner and staff.

We've been using Loving Homecare for about 7 months now and they are great! We have a very difficult situation at our house and Tanner was able to find the perfect caregiver for our situation. They are very flexible and go out of their way to help with all of the challenges we are faced with. Tanner is very involved with us and checks in frequently to make sure all of our needs are met. The caregiver is a trooper and sticks around in very complicated and hard situations. There is constant contact with us when we aren't there so we always know how the day went. I've also noticed they are very good to their employees and offer them lots of support. Keep your employees happy and your employees will keep their clients happy - Loving Homecare more than meets this standard. I will continue to use them and I recommend them to anybody that is looking for caregivers.
