End of Life Care
Gentle, unhurried support for the final season of life, so your loved one can be at home, comfortable and surrounded by family instead of machines.
Get Care Today
The last months deserve the most human care of all
When treatment gives way to comfort, what a family needs most is time together and hands they trust. Working alongside hospice, our caregivers carry the daily weight of care so the people who love each other can spend this time being exactly that.
Comfort, hour by hour
Gentle bathing and grooming, repositioning, sips and small meals, a calm and tidy room. The physical comforts that clinical visits cannot stay long enough to provide.
Nights covered
Awake overnight caregivers keep watch so symptoms never go unnoticed at 3 a.m. and exhausted families can finally sleep in their own beds.
Alongside hospice, not instead of it
Hospice brings nurses, medicine and expertise in visits. We provide the continuous presence between them, following their plan and calling them when something changes.
What end of life care at home includes
Our role is simple to state and profound to live: keep your loved one comfortable, keep the family supported, and let the home stay a home.

Daily comfort care
Personal care done slowly and tenderly, mouth and skin care, repositioning to prevent soreness, and help with the small meals and drinks that still bring pleasure. Everything happens at your loved one’s pace, never the clock’s.
Presence and companionship
Someone calm in the room: reading aloud, playing the old music, holding a hand, or simply being quietly there so your loved one is never alone and never anxious about being alone. For many clients this presence is the care.
Care for the family too
Respite so the primary caregiver can rest, an extra pair of hands during hard days, and honest, gentle communication throughout. Families tell us afterward that the support let them be present for the moments that mattered, and that is the entire point.
How we help families
Every family’s situation is different, but these are the three ways we most often help.
Hospice is invaluable and honest about its limits: nurses visit hours a week, not around the clock. Families are often stunned to learn how much of the care falls to them. Our caregivers fill those hours so the plan hospice wrote can actually be lived.
- Continuous care between hospice visits.
- Hospice’s comfort plan followed precisely.
- Changes reported to the hospice nurse promptly.
- Coverage from a few hours daily to round-the-clock.

In the final weeks, someone needs to be present and alert at all hours, and no family can staff that alone for long. Rotating caregivers, including awake overnight shifts, keep a trained, compassionate person at the bedside while the family rests for the days that matter most.
- Awake overnight and 24-hour coverage.
- Calm, experienced caregivers at the bedside.
- Family woken when it matters, rested when it does not.
- Support started quickly, often within a day.

"Do not put me in a facility" is a promise many families have made and fear they cannot keep. With enough support in the home, they almost always can. We have helped many families keep exactly that promise, and none of them regretted it.
- Home instead of a facility, safely.
- Care hours shaped around family and finances.
- Dignity and familiarity to the end.
- The family free to be family.

Frequently asked questions
If you have questions about how this service works, we are here to help. These are the ones families ask us most, and you can always call for a straight answer.
Ask us anythingIt is comfort-focused care for the final months of life, when the goal shifts from treatment to peace, dignity and time together. In practice it has two halves: the medical side that hospice provides, and the daily human side, personal care, presence and support for the family, which is what we provide at home.
Hospice provides the medical side: nurses, medications, equipment and expertise, in scheduled visits. We provide the continuous non-medical presence between those visits: personal care, comfort, companionship and overnight watchfulness. The two together are what actually makes dying at home manageable for a family.
In most cases, yes. What defeats families is not the medicine, which hospice handles, but the sheer hours of care and vigilance. That is exactly what we supply. With the right support, home is not only possible; it is usually the most peaceful option available.
Yes. Awake overnight care is one of the most important services we provide at this stage. Symptoms do not keep business hours, and families cannot survive on vigil sleep for weeks. An awake caregiver means nothing goes unnoticed and the family genuinely rests.
Often within 24 hours, and we treat end of life referrals with real urgency because time is precisely what these families do not have. Call (562) 448-3854 at any stage, even if you are only starting to think about it.
Deliberately, yes. Respite for the exhausted spouse, a steady presence during hard days, and caregivers who understand that the family is going through something enormous too. Families often tell us afterward, even in grief, that the care carried them as much as their loved one.
That is normal; almost nobody has done this before. Call us and describe what is happening. We will explain what hospice covers, what we cover and what a workable plan looks like, with no pressure. If what you need is not us, we will say so and point you to the right door.
